The world’s first roller coaster was invented almost entirely by mistake.
Bear called it the Honey Runner and built it as a quick and easy way to get to his beehives. It was a bit steep. The corners took some getting used to. And it was way too fast.
So imagine Bear’s surprise when a gaggle of curious neighbors asked to try it out. Then another. And another. Before Bear knew it, foxes flew, squirrels squealed, and hedgehogs howled through the dips and turns.
Bear could not understand it. His invention was Incredibly Fast and Not at All Fun- so why was everyone lining up for more?
